I would think that in most circumstances, width > length, unless you're NBA player tall.

It doesn't take 'NBA player" tall to run out of height on a bed.

I voted CA king; I'm 6'5".

My wife and I have a queen sized bed. This is the size bed we've always slept in since we got married.

My wife and I have a queen. When we do buy a new bed it will be a standard king.

Provided you always intend to be alone in it...

Then again I don't think that describes "most people".

Two people in a queen is smaller per person than one person in a twin. That's not enough space for me.

king because it will be easier and cheaper to get sheets.

I had a CA King in the past and finding sheets for a reasonable price sucked.

The wife and I debated this for a bit before getting our standard king but in the end sheets are easier to find and I'm 6'3" and fit fine on one.

im 6'3" and i have the king. took me a while to get used to feeling the edge of the bed all the time. i sleep alone (unless my kids invade in the middle of the night) and its nice to have all that stretch space. i do miss the room space tho, i have injured myself tripping over dressers before. and i thought the cal king wa s bit wider, same length... i now have no idea what the difference is.

California king is longer and narrower than the regular king.

hehe i saw that link and schooled meself, thanks. i still think i would prefer the king tho, im used to feeling the seam at the bottom. if i squish my pillows up by the headboard i dont feel it, so its not really a problem. width pwns length for me i guess.

If your over 6 feet consider Ca King .... otherwise a regular King is a better choice.

Yep, you seem to be the only one who is having an issue.

I have a California King

Bed size is irrelevant to legomen. They just add more bricks if it gets too small.

I don't really care as long as it's king size. We have a cal king because there always seems to be more options to purchase sheets and comforters for cal king.

If I ever get a relationship with this six foot blonde I've been eyeballing, I'll need at least a king.

And she'll need a Baby B'Jorn to carry your ass around the grocery store.
