My Bike

Mine is a couple model years older, it's the Gary Fisher team colors, red and yellow faded together, very sweet bike... It's just the Supecaliber, not the Supercaliber 29.

Gary Fisher rocks!

Looks like a nice bike to me.

Upper end comp. (Deore>LX>XT>XTR) so 3rd and 4th from top end.

And I assume it being a hand made USA frame it has a life time warrenty.

The 7000 I have is a bit older, and STX RC (one step below Deore). I didn't relize you were into spending $750-$800 ;)

I'd say if it fits well and feels right, go for it. But DO ride ALL the bikes you can before you choose as one may feel better than another.

I used to, when I went to school.
Lots cheaper than buying a car pass, and you can ride almost right to class!

I used to have a bike that I rode regularly. Then I got divorced and sold it, because my wife was too large to ride bikes. Now that I am divorced, I'll probably get another bike someday, because I really enjoyed riding! :)

A few weeks ago after a long ride I was two miles from home riding slowley down a quiet country road when my front tire went flat and pitched me over the handle bars. Landed flat on my back broke a few ribs. Very painful!! So I get six weeks off work.

Yikers, Walrus!

My most recent wipe out was when I found out the exact point at which my tires give up their grip on the sidewalls while taking a nice, fast corner on pavement. I was going hard core, in perfect control, but the tires wouldn't let me have it my way. Damn those tires. Didn't break anything, but the scabs on my left arm and leg were pretty gnarly.

Hey, thanks again, Brutuskend. I know about mtbr.com, great site. It took me awhile to find (last page of my 2002 Trek brochure) but all Trek frames, except for the downhill specific "Diesel" frame, do have a lifetime warranty. Original components, except for shocks and shock forks, have a one year warranty.

So the fork is the only thing on my bike (if I buy a Trek) that won't have a warranty. Kind of a bad deal, but I'll hope for the best, and like I said, if I break it, I'll upgrade it.
