Ooh one more thing from 1wrestling with various comments:

Vince McMahon was said to be noticeably angry at the way the WCW main event match went down on Raw last night. From the work in the ring to the announcing, various sources told me that Vince was not pleased with the segment at all. One person said, "He absolutely hated it". The feeling backstage among pretty much everyone was that they know that the segment bombed and that they know that they have work to do with the WCW angle if they are going to make it sellable to the public.

Well, you know what, that's honestly great to hear. Because, at least we know some changes are going to be made and it's not like we watched it and hated it and Vince was happy with what he saw. It's real good that he hated everything, because, it did suck, real bad. I hope they worked extra hard on Smackdown's script because this angle needs saving, and thank God, Vince and the WWF realize that.

There was a lot of concern among WWF management about Buff Bagwell's performance last night. The consensus is that he needs to adjust his style quickly to work the "WWF way".

Wow...No Kidding. But, this is far from the worst news for Buff as you'll read below.

Sources tell 1Wrestling.com that WWF officials are irate at some of the things that happened in the last week involving Buff Bagwell and others. Our sources say Bagwell was involved in a fight with Shane Helms last week at the WWF training center that is said to have started when Bagwell told Helms he would never be a big star (like Buff) because he was too small. Our sources say Bagwell slapped Helms and said he didn't have the balls to do anything about it. Punches were thrown, and Bagwell walked away with a cut that required 12 stitches.

GREAT WORK BUFF! That's what you need to do. First week with your new company, when you already have a rep for a bad attitude, is put down fellow wrestlers and start fights! Then, at the end, he ends up getting his ass kicked! The WWF should fire this dude pronto or force him to job to Billy Gunn on Metal or something (although, that's punishing those people who watch Metal, so maybe that isn't the fairest thing to do). But, guess what, that's not all Buff did wrong.

<< If they keep pushing the WCW invasion with really Lame-O wrestlers like Buff they're going to hose this whole deal up. >>

They'll have other people. Sean and Chuck weren't bad choices really..
>>

I agree - I've only seen them in ring a few times and I like their style - Sean is a much bigger dude than I thought he was!

<<

<< If they can bring the King back, and publicly acknowledge that WCW is hiring the King because WWF dropped the ball they'll have something that WWF fans can relate to in the new WCW. >>

I can see that, but unfortunately it's very unlikely it'll happen now.
>>

I just wish Vince would back down and admit that he made a mistake in releasing King, and do what's best for the company.

<<

<< Many people I know that watch wrestling never watched WCW at all, so they have no idea who Buff Bagwell, Lance Storm, and Booker T are - until they can get the hardcore WWF fans behind the WCW talent they're going nowhere. >>

Yes, so now they're building up Booker T and all, but yesterday wasn't a good start to it..
>>

With any luck they'll rescue this angle on Smackdown, but if the WCW Stars don't cooperate (I just read your post from 1wrestling as well, Buff can't get his sh!t together, no surprise) they're going nowhere slow!

<< People watched Saturday Night Main Event back in the day. >>

That was on prime time I believe. We were talking about a TNN Late Saturday Night slot from about 11-12 or 12-1.
>>

Prime time? SN Main Event aired in place of SNL...
>>

Eek, I must've assumed somewhere along the line it was prime time..I never did actually see it..

They need to bring back the nWo and make the nWo invade the WWF. The nWo angle was the best ever. Then they decided to make two nWo's that brought it all down to 0. I'm sure this invade angle will boost some ratings. It'll go down hill again like always in a few months.

Am I the only one who thinks WCW's first match just should have been a tag team cruiserweight match with whomever? Would have been match of the night...

RAW apparently did a 4.6, .1 down from last week. However it grew with each quarter hour and maxed with an overrun of 5.7 I think it was, too lazy to verify.

Agreed.

I was sorely dissappointed with last night's main event.

When I first heard about it I had high hopes, but that was just piss-poor.

The preliminary word on Smackdown is that it is teh suck - Booker T vs. DDP for the WCW Title, and a Cruiserweight title match as well. It looks like Shane Helms is going as Hollywood Helms or some craptastic name like that too.
