Poll: Is the term "chick" when referenced toward a woman not PC?

I'm far from a women's right activist or whatever, but I get sick of guys using the word "chick", ESPECIALLY in this here computer forum filled with geeks who tend to use it like they could get a "chick".

Nope, don't think it is PC. Also, actress is not PC these days, it's actor, but a lot of people still use actress.

You need to clearly phrase the question for your poll. I answered "NO" because i would answer NO to the title. I believe the poll is somewhat ambiguous.

hahah take it easy folks...

I wouldn't say it's PC, but it's not utterly offensive to most people.

I wouldn't call girls "chicks" to my grandma but I use the word sometimes.

And just cus we're all nerds doesn't mean we don't have "chicks". I do, at least.

Did you fail second grade or something to not be able to think of a similarly related word?

and amdforlife looooooves it when I call him "gosling" 😉

seriously, though, I am female and born in the year of the rooster, so call me cock please...

Its certainly better than "bitches" now isnt it?

That chick needs to shorten her name, its throwing off the balance.

With that kind of attitude I'm not surprised AMD is the only thing he can have for life--or something to that extent.

*gasp* :Q

Well today's lesson is to teach you some alternatives to the word that describes a female being. You can get a start by going to www.thesaurus.com

Next we'll teach you the concepts of capitalization, and what they do for sentences.

Class dismissed.

<< Did you fail second grade or something to not be able to think of a similarly related word? >>

maybe we'll spend tomorrow working on grammically correct sentences!

Yes, always good to see a student come up with his own lesson plans.

Is there anything else you'd like to be taught? Learn to wipe your own @$$ yet?

Kettle calling the kettle black.
