I said Yes, because RDRAM is dead on the x86 platform and has been for a while. Some of you aren't getting his poll correct...he said Rambus RAM on the x86 platform, not the company. Rambus itself is still alive and kicking, developing new exciting memory technologies. I also deplore the incident with their lawsuit, and I never used their RAM (never had a Pentium after our Pentium 233) but you can't deny how innovative it was. The person that said that Rambus DRAM on the i850E is comparable to the i875P is correct on that one. I never really considered DDR as revolutionary/new as RDRAM but I will use it regardless. I don't think it is right to bash them because they did nothing wrong (in comparison to SCO and Microsoft) and their products have always been impressive. Besides, I really want competition in the memory arena because everyone would win if a competing technology was introduced.
