I've been putting a lot of work into the site I webmaster, and I'm finally finished with the main content. Next I'm adding a members page (a sticky page), some printable online ordering forms, and bring the online store into the site rather than offsite.

In other words... based on what you see, would you buy from hawgbuster.com?

Nice looking all in all, my only real concern is that the company needs a little work on their logo.

ewww

me thinks you did way too much fine tuning ;)

Those buttons on the left look god awful
too wide ...I wouldn't overlap into the main frame and the background graphic
needs to be toned down a touch

Man that is so crappy...it is PERFECT for a fish bait store, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

It looks pretty good but I'd do something about the yellow, it's intense.

No, but at least it works in NS 6.23 - which is certainly an improvement from past versions.

It looks good. However, there are a few things you could do to the side navigation. First, I would have it so the product categories are on top of the list (under home). The rest of the navigation buttons would be bellow the product categories. There should also be a small space between product categories and the other buttons (store, contact). Again, you don't *have* to use this advice and the web site looks great anyhow. I don't think people would have a problem with it.

I spent an entire night on that! It's only been up for a few days ... the logo before was smaller and less quality... suggestions for fixing the logo?

it's not a fish bait store.... it's a fish bait manufacturer who happens to sell their products online too...

DOH

Can't touch the color. It's the color scheme that all of the packaging and letterhead uses. It took me a couple tries to get it right... it was a paler yellow before... then it was too orangy... sorry that it's intense, just imagine what it looked like when the owner wanted a fully yellow background with bold black text.

I don't have photoshop

the previous logo was done in Paint and Image Composer - this time I used Macromedia Fireworks (which I barely know how to use yet)

Actualy, its pretty decent looking. I'm not a big fan of the logo or the yellow, but other than that, looks good.

Post here, and maybe have a little contest, I have seen some nice looking logos come from some of the people here.

Well...

No free samples, but we do have a Sampler kit for sale. Includes the new arachne jigs. Nice thing about our tubes is that they're salt-ETCHED, not injected, so the tube never goes brittles and stays flexible... so our products last longer, but also catch bigger fish. Mixed with the salt is the ZP-23 stimulant which unlike Memorex (an attractant) our stimulant actually invokes strikes from fish that weren't hungry. ZP23 has the same taste/smell as crawfish blood. The glider weights used with the tubes are nearly zero buoyant, which keep the tubes from sinking like a rock... and they're lead free.

I might only be the webmaster but it's still fun to be salesman too. ;)

But where's the fun in creatin a logo if somebody else does it for you? :(

However, I will take that into consideration, but instead of giving out money as a prize I suppose I could give out a small sample of the baits. ;)

You need more emphasis on your logo/identitiy. You also need to tone those colours down.. a harsh yellow on a black provides a sharp/too intense constrast. Other than that its a pretty linear/standard template. looks fine.

Logo/identity - okay, will do. I've been thinking about the identity too... I need something that stands out ot show that hawgbuster is not just a retail store but the actual manufacturer of the baits. Can you clarify what you mean by logo though? Does is just need to stand out more? I can't do anything about the colors because they're the company/packaging colors. The color scheme reminds me of a yellow-jacket hornet... but I think that's why the owner wants it that way, so it's eye catching.

I'm going to be redoing the grahical menu.

Suggestions on how the buttons should look?

Should I use a different color other than yellow for the button text? Should the button itself have beveled edges? Should it have a texture?
