I broke my hand once, and didn't look anywhere near that bad. I complained to my dad, and he said, "Son, we used to break fingers on the football field all the time, and we still played." He was basically calling me a sissy, so I continued with it for a few weeks. I played the piano and violin with it, went through school, etc. It wasn't until many weeks later that I was forced to go to the doctor, and they found that my metacarpal had been broken. It had already healed, and now I have a lump there.

Did you all care to hear about that? Me either.

just because enough people misspell it that the dictionary caved and added it does not make it a word.

No, judgement has always had the alternate spelling of judgment. Monologue and monolog, too. There are some words like that, and it has nothing to do with the populous' inability to spell.

The metacarpal, well that might be a problem for you in the future and holy HELL that must have hurt.

You punched something, or somebody. No doubt about it, I've seen that dozens of times, many times on my own hand. Last time mine looked that bad was in 7th grade when I cold-cocked a guy in the forehead. Probably a hair-line fracture, if you're not in agonizing pain. If you go to pull on something with your fingers and it hurts a lot, you've definitely got a knuckle fracture.

I'd trust a dictionary before I'd trust word, but to each his own I guess.

And still you trust an online forum more than a doctor?

You got owned.

What the hell is your problem man, you've been trying to start sh!t ever since I put up this post. I wasn't trusting the forum, it was just something funny to talk about. Incase you missed it I already mentioned in a previous post that I was going to get it xrayed later this week.

I am sorry, i just have a hard time comprehending that there is some nutjob out there who will post about it on an online forum but will see the doc later, the same nutjob also has problems comprehending things, which is not so strange.

IOW, you are stupid.

Not only is your hand broken, but it looks like it is also infected. You may have to chop of your hand or else face the possibility of death. I suggest sawing off your hand with a spoon.

If possible, go to the doctor tomorrow. If it is broken, you need to get it set correctly before it heals much.

Saw the doctor today and he said it looks bad but probably isn't broken due to the real lack of pain. Had to go to a different place to get the X-Rays done and he won't get to see them until tomorrow or the next day.

No word from the doc today :(

Might have to call him instead of waiting for him to call me.

Still no word from the doc, gonna assume that means there weren't any problems with my hand. I'm going to give him a call later today to make sure though.

lots of different kinds of breaks. some slight cracks are probably less obvious. not like the shard through the skin kind obviously:)
