He always seems to make a lot of mistakes on TV.

I seem to think of him as the Bob Vila of wildlife...he just invites others on his show and lets them do all the talking while he says "Uh-huh" and "right".

He is the director emeritus of the Columbus, (Ohio) Zoo. The Columbus Zoo is what it is today because of Jack Hanna. He championed many causes and projects. He was actually the director for quite a while, but must have pissed somebody off, because the board of directors fired him about seven years ago. Rather than disgrace him, they made him the director emeritus, which is a title only. As far as I know, he has no further affiliation with the Columbus Zoo. At least that's this Columbus boy's understanding.

Even though you guys don't like him and don't KNOW him, Jack Hanna is one of the smartest people I have ever read about. You should read some stories on him he's a pretty dedicated and smart person, you guys don't know him yet you say he's a moron. 😕
