Comcast theoretically upgraded my cable download to 3Mbps, but even after several modem reboots, it remains at 1.7Mbps. Not that I ever max that out, actually.

RR cable. think they just upgraded the connection, as everything has been downloading at 340KB/s lately.

WTF? 10Mb/1Mb?

Holy Christmas. I have 1500/256 DSL, but I only get about 700/200.

DSL 6000/608... with overhead its a bit lower... about 620KB/sec down and 63KB/sec up. Cable just can't compete with that for $45 a month around here. Comcast comes closest.

Optimum Online is the best thing since sliced bread. The DOCSIS cap is at 10 mbits downstream, 1 mbit upstream, and I regularly hit these speeds when connecting to a fast server (IE Microsoft servers, and other things using akami are blazing fast).

620KB down?

Man, the South sucks for internet access.
