Some one find the text in the bible that says you can kill those whom wish to do you harm. I cannot remember where it is at or what verse it is.

Unfortunately, the relatively recent evolution of the translation from "kill" to "murder" is nothing more than strategic revisionism that is specifically orchestrated to satisfy this question and justify killings (for example, the death penalty) that under a strict reading of the text are prohibited.

For example, the Hebrew word, "ratsach," is used numerous times in the Bible to refer to unintentional killings, accidental deaths, and even "justified" killing to avenge to death of another. None of these are murder. Murder is "the unlawful killing of a person," but "ratsach" describes lawful and unlawful killing. It obviously has a broader meaning than the tranlsators have revised it to represent.

I guess that goes to partialy explain why Honor Killings are virtually non-existant in European and New World countries. But are common place in the Middle East. I guess the translators did a good thing that has contributed to a more peacefull society.
