Poll: iBooks, look good or lame?

I bought an iBook this week because they are semi-cheap for Mac notebooks and OS X is teh bomb IMHO. Anyway, I had a couple of people see it after telling them about it and both people said in a disappointed tone, "oh, it's white."

I like the white myself, it's got that sleek, clean look about it. I am now starting to wonder if I am way in the minority.

What do you think?

On topic: I like the white, it looks nice. Look at all the other laptops, their going all different ways adding/trying different colors. White looks good, its different.

i don't really like the white, but i like the styling better than anything on the windows side. obviously, i love the powerbooks :) altho, they need to releast a new 15" one that slot loads to the side.

i like the white. it's a very clean color and looks very stylish as oposed to my Compaq laptop that is just a black/silver beast.

I think it's a nice clean sophisticated look.

But nothing is sexier than the 12" PowerBook, whoa!

I was about to say the same thing, i wish i could afford the 15" :)
Cant wait to get a Mac, then I could be like Notfred aka Tyler, Mac, Linux and windows machine in one place ...somebody, give me $2000 please

ummm... what about one that has the fiber optic backlit keyboard :) that needs to filter down too. granted i don't think it's all that useful, but it sure is damn cool looking.

This post got me curious as to what ALBooks are and Google told me they are basically just another name for the Powerbook G4's? So here I am on the online Mac store and I'm this close to spontaneously buying a 12" Powerbook G4! But i won't; I'll save up for a couple months first. But as soon as i have $1800 saved up I'm buying that sucker:p

They look good, but are lame. Apple has some kickass designers and graphics GUIs, BUT their OS sucks and their computers suck.

hahah .. same here buddy, i'm that close too. I even tried to obtain a loan but stop right before the process finish. Damn, so tempting and now i know what to do for today, i'm going to the Apple Store!!!
 

I have buyer's remorse for not getting a Powerbook. I called the Applestore and they said I can trade it up for a Powerbook. I might be headed over there a little later to exchange it for a 12" Powerbook ;)

12" I-book

12" Powerbook, which is what I am totally lusting and salivating over and fighting the urge to spontaneously buy now

I'm at dwell's apt now so we're probably going to head over there together so I can lust even more over the ALBooks:p
 

Geekiest thing ever. Klee is 2 feet from me on my PC and I am on the bed with my iBook. We are both posting on this thread at the same time. Even IMed each other before.
