POLL: How old were your parents when they had their first child?

I was having a conversation where it came up that one of my coworkers had his first kid while he was in his late 20's, and my parents had theirs when they were in their early 30's, and another coworker, who is only 21, already has a young child and she found it weird that other people had children so "late".

To me, late 20's/30's seems more normal than rushing to have a kid before you are 20.

You should create a separate poll for Mom's age/Dad's age. My Mom was 27 and my Dad was 31, so doesn't really fit in your current poll.

Well, we're both in trouble.
Because I cant change the poll.

We may need a mod for this.

Mom was 16 or 17 (first marriage for her).
Dad was 40 (his first marriage).

Pedophile.

Two different marriages.

My mom was married to a guy at that age and had her first child (very very common back then). They divorced. Later she married my dad, and I was born when he was 40 (his first kid, her 4th). They were 10 or 11 years apart in age (also very very common, then and now).

I'll still be 42 in the fall when son #2 (of 2) leaves for college. Some of my friends from high school who are my same age have little toddlers who are just a couple years old. EEEeeek at the thought of planning retirement & my kids' college educations at the same time.
