Woah, what kind of monitor do you have? And what refresh rates are you getting at that resolution?

/me has a 19 inch monitor that is running at 1600x1200@75Hz, and I've not been forced to scroll horizontally yet when mozilla is running maximized.

Unless one's eyes (or one's monitors, or video cards) don't support it, I see no reason why one should not be running at least 1920x1440 on a 21 incher. Even my 19 inch supports 1920x1440, but it only does so at a 60Hz refresh rate; otherwise, you can be sure that's what I'd be running.

2048x1536 is even better.

With respect to the monitor - it's sortof a generic one - an AOC Spectrum 7GLR... running at 60Hz refresh. I normally run this thing at 1024 x 768 but in this case, I needed the extra res to do some side by side comparison stuff... The adapter is a NVidia Vanta...

I picked them up for $25 each at boeing surplus....
According to IBM the optimum resolution is 1600x1200@75hz, maximum 1600x1280...
my friend has cranked his up higher but I havent bothered.. dont wanna ruin em or anything

they have a .31dp btw, so they arent the best... but they were cheap
