I should be a little more clear in what I mean. More RAM CAN start slowing down the computer, not will. It depends on the processor and the OS as well. I'm running a P2 400 and more than the 256 RAM I have would cause more problems than it would do good. In most cases though rather than cause problems, it wouldn't do anything, including increase performance. Also servers are a different case. Most of us are talking about our personal computers, and 1 gig of RAM in a personal computer is just more than needed, you're never gonna be doing enough to get the use outta all that.

OK, let's see how much RAM I have:

- 128 MB in the box I'm using right now,
- 4 MB of buffer memory (whatever that is) in Yamaha CD-RW
- 96 MB in the other box,
- 2 MB in HP Laserjet printer,
- 32 KB of input buffer (whatever that is) in Epson Stylus Color 800,
- 1 MB (512 KB + 512 KB extra) in my old Amiga 500,

for a grand total of 213,032 MB of RAM :)

I think you meant KB, not MB.
Anyway, only have 256MB. I say only since most of you have a crap load of memory...

Soon to be 640MB, consisting of 2 Crucial PC133 256MB CL2 sticks and one stick of 128mb PC133 CL3.

Did have only one stick of Crucial 256 but... couldn't resist the price. :(

Hmmm...in this computer, I have 576MB. For once, I feel worthy! :)

Now...if you wanted to know how much RAM is in this house...holy crap. At least 10GB, probably more. Yeah, I said GB ;)
