I am looking to replace my 215/60 R15's on the Infiniti and have been shopping around for tires. Best deal I can come up with so far is Yokohama's at Discount tire for about 350. Seems like buying tires is expensive these days. What kind of vehicle do you have and how much did you spend replacing your tires.

Crappy Ford Windstar and no more than necessary. I think the last I bought were around $65.00 a tire.

I have 14" tires and I cut one down and when I had it replaced it cost me almost $150. It was a Goodyear Eagle GA. It is a All-season, high-performance, touring tire, that came stock on my 2000 neon.

BDawg: that is funny, the GS-C doesnt come in anything less than a 245 width. Maybe someone drew the C on the end with a marker.

get some cheap Kuhmo's for tiny rims. Or if you have a muscle car, the pep boys ultra-z's kick much ass.

Cheap, you're gonna burn em up quick anyways.

those yoko's are going to wear out in like 10K of moderately hard driving. very stickey, but also wear Very quickly.

The last tires I bought were Continental Grand Prix 3000 700 x 25c folding clinchers for my road bike - a deal at $46 a pair!

Unfortunately my 2001 Maxima SE takes 255/55 VR 17s (currently Bridgestone Potenza RE92s), and every available brand in that size is over $170 per tire - ouch! I do not look forward to buying a new set.

Ok should I move up and buy the Michelins? Or take the BF Goodrich for same price as Yokohamas?
I really know nothing about tires.

wyvrn: I am not much of an expert on this, but the michelins have 10,000 miles on them now, and have held up really well. I drive this car pretty hard too, the stock Goodyear Eagle RS's only went 12,000 miles and they were bald.

I purchased tires at Sam's Club last time. They were about $85 a piece for Michelins. Suggest you check out Sam's Club. They carry Michelin, Good-Year, General, and a few of some others. I've found their prices to be cheaper than the lone tire stores. They charged me $10.00 for lifetime balanceing and rotating. I come back every 5,000 miles to get them to rebalance and rotate the wheels. Not really a bad deal.

Yeah I love Sam's club, but the two near me don't carry my size tire. Bummer!

Sams's gasoline prices are great though, especially for premium :)

Try Sams Club - I got 4 new Goodrich tires for my 95 Camry for $135 and they installed for free because it took so long...

I bought the Kirkland's from CostCo. 4 for about $250. I figured I can't push my car anyway since it's got 150,000 miles on it, so no point wasting too much on a nice set of tires.

Best set I bought for my '94 Ford Probe GT are BF Goodrich Radial TA's. I forget the size off-hand, tho.

They ran me $140 each. Came to a total of just under $800 with all the additional taxes, etc...

Got them at Sears 'cuz I had a credit card and didn't have the cash.

They have lasted over 4 years now, tho. Nice freakin' tires. :D
