I don't have one, but I'm just curious how much $$ some of you guys shelled out to buy one...

Something making you green, Viper? ;)

I got mine for $299.99 + $9.99 S&H. I also have 5 games, extra controller, memory card, vertical stand, multitap, DVD remote, and Monster S-video cable. Probably a little over $700 for all of it.

I don't have one, but my husband just informed me yesterday that he would like one for Christmas. Anyone know where I can still get one? :) I went to Hot Deals and had no luck there, so if anyone can please help me I would be forever grateful! :)

I paid $270 + tax. Then I returned it. I was so disappointed by the games :( I didn't like the whole buying/reselling thing, so I didn't do that (mainly b/c I don't like to take advantage of minors, even if their parents are willing to pay out the nose for it).

That would be taking advantage of parents who, like foolish morons or rich bastards, will spoil their children and get them whatever they want. Which is fine with me.

Oh, yes, I'm two shades from turning into a fvcking emerald over here.

HELL NO! I have a P3 933, & a GF2 @ 220/400. I don't need a PS2.

Admittedly, though, I probably will buy one for it's DVD capabilities. I figure the ability to play PS2 games would be a nice added bonus. But I have a lot of other stuff that has to come first, buying a PS2 is an incredibly low priority right now.

So why didn't you sell it for cost to those parents so they didn't have to pay out of the nose from those who hoarded 10 so they could sell them for 3x the prices on egay?

1) Software etc would sell it again for the given price anyway to the next person in line, so it did get sold to someone else for the market price w/o extra time on my part :)

What a MORON! hehehe

Whatever gets him off. I suppose the same could be said for my computer.

In the last year I've been through:

Two cases, for a total of $250
Three processors
Two motherboards
4 128 MB DIMMS
2 64 MB DIMMS
Three video cards
3 >$40 heatsinks
2 >$20 heatsinks
several hundred $$ in fans & cooling supplies

Damn, maybe I'm the one with the problem.

I saw one go for $15,000 (actually $14,999) one e-bay. It was sold the day that they went on sale. I wish i had had the idea.

Man, I just can't believe people would spend that much money on a gaming system...

and for people that say, "Oh, it's a dvd player"...why don't u just buy a dvd player then? MUCH cheaper...

o well, if you got the cash, you got the cash :D
