I watch tons. Sometimes I see something and I just watch it, not even knowing what it is. I've watched almost every channel that isn't PPV, and for a long period of time(more than an hour). But this is over a 8-9 month period, without the summer break included.

ESPN 2 HD

Discovery
Comedy Central
Science Channel
Military Channel
TNT

That's about it. I really wish cable companies would let you pick and choose what channels you want and pay for those. I pay way too much for stuff I don't watch.

I'd love to get rid cable entirely, but no ESPN would kill it. That is really the only channel I can't (sadly) live without. All the other channels I can find my favorite shows on the net somewhere.

Well, I have TW cable and their cheapest package is $55/mo or so with 200 channels, 75 radio channels, all the free On Demand channels, etc.

Basic analog FTW. They dont list it online and dont mention it when you ask what is available, but it exists if you ask for it specifically. Cheaper per month and has all the channels you listed as wanting still.

THey offered me that but it's like $45/mo so it doesn't save me anything. It's actually more expensive than the normal 1000 package when you take out the 100+ channels and save $5.

I think I'll probably be dumping them next month.

Ok, well I needed the basic local networks in HD. Throw in ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, FX, MTV, USA, TBS and maybe Comedy Central and I think I'm set.

Next comes news channels like CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News.

Not counting local? 0. I've lived without satellite and cable since the beginning, and I get by fine. Now internet....

To be honest, I only watch something if it's in HD. I don't watch much TV anyway and the things I feel like watching (sports, a couple primetime shows) mostly show up in HD. Then, if I just feel like having the TV on, I just put it on something quasi-educational or educational, like Discovery or History.

All I watch is Fox News, Animal Planet and TV Land.

I don't get the network stations because I don't want them.

I signed up for Dish's $20 package and have 37 channels that I have never watched.
