Poll: How many times do you use a razor before you throw it out?

Fusion blade. I shave every day and go at least 4 months before switching blades. Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I did switch blades. Hasn't been in 2008.

on a side note and a bit off topic, how many of find it really annoying when the wife hijacks your razor because hers is dull?:| **raises hand and looks around**

Aren't you supposed to change the blades in a straight razor pretty often?

No, it gets honed/stroped.

So for me
DEs: 4-5 shaves
straight: infinity

I use Mach3 blades. I shave with it about twice a week, lasts for probably two months or so.

I use the Fusion (not the powered one, I have a thing about electricity and water since I shave in the shower), and I generally change blades every 3-4 weeks with shaving every day. I sometimes take a weekend day off. I can definitely tell the difference by the end, and the shave isn't quite as close with more irritation. It works well enough though. I think I have about 10 blades left so I should be good through this year.

And, no, I don't have a thin or soft beard.

My fusion blades last me a long time. The one I'm currently using is at least 3-4 months old. Still gives me a nice clean shave.

when i shave, i buy/use the cheap 'Good News' two blade razors, so i only use them twice

only once if it has been 1 week+ of growth

I use a double edged razor. I bought a 100 pack of derby's for 15 bucks. Mach 3's are for suckers!

I shave everyday with a Mach3. I generally get about one week worth of shaving out of it or a bit more.

I use razors that were hand crafted on the thighs of young Cuban virgins....
