it's cool looking, but i hate remotes like that. i like to be about to change channels or the volume w/o needing to actually look at the remote.

I never really thought of that. Never really noticed any difference because of having to look at it. Makes a great nightlight when walking into a dark room. Just stomp your foot and it lights up.

I guess I just like the feel of real buttons.

I have remotes all over the place - but none on the coffee table (Which is my CDR and spare cabling rack)

Leadtek TV2000XP Deluxe
ATI Remote Wonder (Unused)
3 or 4 remotes for TVs and VCRs that I've destroyed
Panasonic DVD player
2x Panasonic remotes for heavy duty VHS decks

Not sure if you'd consider this a remote, but I have a Sony editing controller for an industrial rackmount linear editor (This controller is busted, fortunately, there was a spare)

I only have 1 remote and a wireless trackball... now how many controllers is a different story. 2 PS2, 2-4 Xbox, 1 Gamecube... Wires everywhere.

I can't wait to move and get a new coffee table, mine is kinda busted. :(

One.

It pays to invest in a fully programable all in one remote.

It controls ALL commands including menus on my TV, receiver, DVD changer, DirecTivo, DirecTV HD box, VCR and room lights. Same for the bedrooms, living room and basement.

had like 10 but then I got my radioshack touch screen remote that was like 15 bucks from a deal a few mounths back. so all mine are in a drawer somewhere and me and my roommate each have our own remote so its your own fault if you can't fine the remote. and makes for fun remote wars

I was cool with 3 but 4 is too many. I guess I need a universal unit that does it all?
