Poll: How many people use the email function mailto:??

I just copy and paste the email address into the window. It would be stupid to have those mailto: links all over the internet if not that many people use it.

I bet you would also like hyperlinks to just be the text addy that you would have to copy and paste into the address bar

clicking on a link is alot easier than opening your default email program, opening a new message, copying the email address, and putting it back into the address bar.

mailto: is also a registered Windows file type, at least it is with Outlook Express. I don't know if other mail programs register it. But that means you can do it from Start\Run just by typing:

mailto:joe@blow.com

Or you can do it from the DOS prompt by typing:

start mailto:joe@blow.com
