Woooaaa....what a wild man 😉

I have a NEC1100a (Cendyne). DVD+R...simply because it was the cheapest at the time. A fine drive...no problems at all. I've used all kinds of Media....Memorex, Verbatim, Fuji....no generics. Haven't had any problems there either. In fact the ONLY problem, is that 4.3 gigs per disc just seems too darn small now 😀

Just picked it up! 😀
Going to tear out the defect CD-RW and and plug it in and... see what happens.
Got some DVD+RW discs aswell. 1st thing after installation is a full backup of all important pr... files!

Wish me luck, see you in a bit!

😀

Cendyne (rebadged Pioneer) 4x DVD-RW, bought it from Staples for $150, works beautifully. 🙂

The only thing is finding cheap dvd-r/w media without buying them in bulk!

The time i bought my dvd-r/-rw rebadged pioneer Sony was the only dual format drive andit was in the low 400's (high 300's with a coupon here and a rebate there).

Paid 198,- for the Teac DV-W50D. Just packed up 2,9Gb of digital photos and over 2hr's of home videos...
😀

I too bought the A05 when the Sony was expensive but the next one will have both Formats. From what I read, the TEAC is very similar the to A06

RW drives can also write R discs... didn't bother to add the extra R's in there...

what im saying is that most people have r/rw drives and not just r drives

so you poll should be between - or +
