But taking my hand off the mouse to grab the keyboard is still slower than hitting any reply button that is already on the screen. I'm here to learn from the masters though.

Ok I see now. I only post from school and page loading speed is not an issue.

I normally only reply once I have read to the end of the thread, so it being docked at the bottom has no worries for me.

Dullard....you use the tree view....yuck! I can't stand that, as many people reply to many people in one reply, and sometime people just hit reply wherever in the thread, and it may not be relevent. I can't stand going to any forum that doesn't use a linear view!

Confused

I think about my replies, sorry.

why do i have a hard time believing that? 😉

Moonbeam's posted 2 useful replies to 2 of my threads in the last 2 days, he's not always so bad 😛 (Just most of the time)

I use QR when I don't quote, because it's nice and quick, and it's already there on Firebird (didn't ever know about it until I started using FB)

I've used it almost exclusively. every so often I quote, and forget an emoticon, but I don't use the fancy ones, anyways.

I love quick reply on forums.

The idea Don_Vito is to have it docked and once you've reached the end of the thread, you can immediately post your reply.
