Poll: How many of you run your computer with the case open?

I am talking about the side panel on the case.

Personally, I don't. Just for the sake of convenience. And I believe it helps cooling at the same time since I don't have any fancy case fan or anything like that.

One thing I have to complain about it is my jet-engine power supply fan. That mofo screams!

Some might say it catches more dust inside. But I think with the box covered wouldn't help the situation by much.

What's your opinion on this?

I only leave it open during maintenance and when configuring (new) hardware. Further the case is closed

I leave mine open all the time. I see no benefit to closing it.

Case open my system would be hotter and get less dust. The side of my case has two 120mm fans, one a high speed panaflow (over 100CFM, directly over CPU)

I just paid $300 for a new case, the cover is ON, it will stay on and it better look damn good on !!

Actually the reason that its kept closed is dust, we have that lumpy powdery shet on the ceiling, it would like there had been a snow storm in my case if I left the side cover off.

Yes, only cause I used to swap something new in every week, I even have my PS sitting out on my desk. I haven't really needed it to be open all the time for like the past 2 years, but I've just never felt like reassembling it

I have to have mine open, I have a external personal fan pointed on my CPU to keep it from overheating.
