I've seen a couple of posts regarding pirated software, copying down CD keys, etc. How many of you admit to having pirated software of some kind? I myself have a few, so I'm not trying to point any fingers, just curious!

just because someone finds windows xp on edonkey or some other crappy p2p program makes them a software "pirate"

A pirate is someone who loots ships, murders men, rapes women, and makes any survivors walk the plank and jump into the shark-infested waters of the deep ocean.

In other words, a pirate is a coldblooded murderer.

Infringing on copyright has absolutely nothing to do with a pirate or piracy, and equating such a harmless and victimless act with such absolute evil is an unjustified attack upon the character of the people in question.

I have paid for every piece of software (besides freeware and shareware I rejected) that I've ever used on my computers.
 
Just about all the software on my computer was downloaded at warez sites, and I am not ashamed of that fact. Software is far too overpriced for hardworking people, and it need not be. For those of you who claim that the software developers are hurt by this, get a clue. They could cut their prices by 75% and would still make a mint, which means they are taking advantage of us. I cannot afford to spend 600 buck on a program i'll only use a few times a year, but if I needed to use a program daily for work i'd definitely but it.
