I just got paid on Wednesday, but this week I'm spending$1500+ on my trip to Chicago and it will be a week or 2 until I get reimbursed from work... 🙁

amish

Lol, how telling that "I don't have a job" is the leading vote getter. I'm doing fine though and planning on a few upgrades in the coming week. Having under $300 in total bills (dish, phone, power, everything) sure is nice.

I'm currently working on paying off loans and making sure I have money in the bank incase my company doesn't exist next week. (it's a possibility)

Have about $2400 on checking acct....

But first of the month paychecks is for all bills:mortgage, car insurance, phone, dsl, condo fees. so there goes half of that

BUT on a plus side.. we have ZERO credit card debt.

I don't really apply to any of those. I aim to keep as little cash in my checking account as possible because until all debts are paid off money in a checking account is money down the drain (if I ever have an emergency I have several credit cards/mother I could get money from). So even though myself and Mrs are employed really I'm continually "broke" since I have a negative networth (student loans).

I do have a grand total of $.15 in credit card debt though so I can still buy whatever I want 🙂

*biting my tongue*

I have a few bucks only because I bought stuff for cheap from Hot Deals, sold them on eBay for a profit.

It's gonna suck when the wife's temp job contract expires 🙁

I'm doing alright as far as money right now. I'm trying to save so I don't have to work the next school year.

I used to spend every dollar I had. Always continually broke having to borrow off people cause I didnt watch my spending.

Then one day I decided to start saving instead of spending, and now I feel like moneybags because people always borrow from me. There is seriously no better peace of mind than knowing youve got dough in the bank and if anything happens and you cant make dough for a while, youre still all set.

For the next year I've got the option of bumming around with a part time job and eating into my savings a few thousand. I just graduated, what, you want me to get a real job now?

Just because you have money doesnt mean you should spend it. I dont know how some of my friends do it. They get their 1000 or so tax refund, and its gone in a week on something they really really dont need.

JK, i have about $400 to live for the next 2 months. Going to have to pay rent till 8-31-03 eventhoug i'm moving my A$$ out in about 10 days

After paying for my car insurance and my credit card payment... I have about $14 to my name until next week. The worst part is a friend of mine wants to see X-Men 2 tonight. I guess I just hope for the best and that the one kid who told me he'd buy my XBOX does.

I got paid a couple of days ago. I'm once again starting to build a very small fortune (what a change) after trying to live paycheck by paycheck the last 4 months. Mortgages suck.

"Mortgages suck. "

Yeh well, you'll be whistling a different tune when you go to do your taxes at the end of the year and lob off 25% of your tax liabilities 🙂

My best friend had a tax return check for $5,041 IIRC. He had it all blown in under 2 weeks. I would have blown about $2,000 for a turbo and put the rest in the bank and watch my money grow.
