Hooray military and their 30 days off a year no matter what rank you are 🙂 Plus all federal holidays and what not. Yeah so you might have to go on vacation to Iraq every once in awhile but thats no biggie 😀

you should be able to negotiate that based on your current seniority

i think i am up to around 3 weeks, maybe 16 days? i don't know exactly, i am over 200 hours on the books, i never get to take any during the summer

I accrue 15 hours/month paid vacation (so 22.5 days/year), in addition to 12 days sick leave and 13 paid holidays/year.

Vacation? 8 hours per month. But I also earn state comp time and FLSA overtime, so usually it is more of a matter of finding coverage than finding the time to take off.

At the job I had, before being laid off (I know.. I'm still bitter about it. 😛) @ 14 years I had 20 Vacation days + 4 Personal days.

I forget how many sick days we got... I never really used more than one or two a year.

I will try to negotiate 4 weeks at my new position, or at least 3. I don't know if 2 would be enough anymore... lol

This new company starts all new hires at 2 weeks (10 days) and then increases vacation by 1 day for each year of service. It seems like it should be based on years of relevant experience. If you have 15 years of service in a company in the same industry and are getting 4 weeks of vacation, would you want to switch companies and start back at 2 weeks?

You get three weeks and didn't put 21 days as an option! I get 3.5

I just started my 5th year here, so I get the next level of vacation: 3 weeks (15 days)

Ad agency in Louisville.

20 annual leave (with 17.5% leave loading). 15 'personal' (sick), all public holidays, two public holidays in lieu...

I guess 15 officially, unless you discount the assumed overtime that you are supposed to work to be able to take all your vacation and still hit your "utilization target" of 95%. Then it's about 4.5 days that you actually get to take without having to work extra to make up for it.

208 hours (26 days) Vacation

104 hours (13 days) Sick Leave, which carries over year-to-year

11 paid holidays ...
