Since 1985 - i think it was elementary school with Apple IIE's - I remember swapping out the large 5 1/4 disks out all the time.

Unfortunately, most schools still use CrApple. Thank god i left that cult many years ago...

Remind me not to let him do my taxes ;)

I studied programing back in '78, about 22 years ago ;)
I remember hours doing punch cards, and the mainframes.
Never got around them after that until about '94. Since then everything's been kind of foggy.

Since about '78, when the owner of the local Radio Shack
would let me use the TRaSh-80's any time I wanted. Nice guy.

(Man, I feel like an old fart)

Got my brand new Apple IIgs back in the mid 1980s. It was loaded with 256 ram (k not mb). Also it had no hd, but it had two external drives (5.25 big floppy and 3.5 little floppy).

Well, theres been a computer in my house since i was born so i've tinkered = ) "i.e. gamed ha ha"
but seriously have some knowledge i'd say 10 years... my dad's hella old skool... he's told me stories bout when computers were the size of a two bedroom and it only had like 8kb of memory, and it took some poor guy a whole night of entering punch cards to run some stupid calculations... = )

Heh.. I still remember my timex sinclair 1000 and its awesome 2k of memory. It had to refresh the entire screen(quite slowly I might add) every time you typed in a letter on the chicklet liek keyboard..

I was amazed the day I finally got the adapter cable to hook a cassette recorder to it to actually save a program...

heh

About 20 years give or take. First exposure to a computer was in highschool on a Trash 80.
