I'm more intelligent than some, less intelligent that others. To summarize my feelings on intelligence, I would like to quote myself: "So you're a fscking genius, now what the fsck are you gonna do?"
Intelligent compared to a tree? Very. Compared to other humans, it's all subjective. I am very intelligent at my job, but maybe not at someone else's. Would someone who can't carry on a conversation be unintelligent? What if they could do advanced physics?
I'm pretty smart, although several times I have been called a "dumb ass". I suppose if my ass had a brain, it could be dumb.....
I would say that statistically, people on Anandtech are generally smarter than the average cross section of the population. I only say this because it takes quite a bit of "smarts" to operate, tweak, and build computers. Not just anyone can tweak a 50% overclock out of a sub $100 CPU!!
I don't think I.Q. is the most accurate way to test intelligence but mine was 120 when I was 18 and has probably decreased in the last few years so.......I just think there should be a common sense section somewhere in the I.Q. testing. Some of the methods of testing I.Q. are kind of odd.
The psychologist who tested me the last time (using WAIS-R), in 83 or 84, estimated top 0.1 percentile. She said that the scale is unreliable in that range. Since then, I've become a moron but I can live with that.
