you'd think he'd just say that if he were really only downloading songs he already has bought... wouldn't you? i simply posed a question, his reaction is telling.

why? good christians don't steal.

Neither do people who download music from the internet, you unintelligent nitwit. You seem quick to point fingers at me for saying something that I didn't say. Go fvck yourself.

taking the work of others without paying isn't stealing? are we going to play word games again? intellectual dishonesty is the worst.

we're not talking about a starving man stealing a loaf of bread you know.

The only thing that people will be charged with are copyright violations. You cannot prove that someone who downloaded a game or a music CD would have gone out and bought it. Theft is defined in the law as the removal of property. Nobody's removing anything. They're violating copyright laws and that's what they'll get nailed for.

Screw your head on straight and READ THE FVCKING LAW before you make another post, dammit.

Just when did I say anything about downloading anything?? If I had the CD, why would I want to download something when I can make a digital copy of much better quality faster than I can download the song?

here we go again with the hair splitting. you know better then to use the law to define theft.

because remember, good christians use legal loopholes to justify immoral or unethical behavior:)

oh, thats good justification for theft if i saw one. you think most people that shoplift of steal intended to buy the stuff anyways? if you've ever talked to any, thats the excuse given most of the time. its called self delusion and justification.

Well, now that you've completely filled this thread with your threadcrapping bullsh|t, I would LOVE to know what the hell you're talking about. In fact, to save this thread, I would also ask that you either make a new thread where we can talk about this openly or send me a PM to continue this. I am going to love shooting you down time and time again.

I imediately move downloaded files to a non myshared folder, so my share folder is always empty. I also update the HOSTS file regularly. But, I have since unistalled kazaa because one song i d/l'd was ok for the first part, then crap after 30 seconds, so I thought maybe the RIAA did this so they could track d/lers of the song (roots...forgot the title.)

I deleted the song after the 24hrs for educational purposes, of course.

Kazaa lite sucks in that it limits you to 128k bit mp3s. That is so weak I can't even tell you. However, with more users than other p2p system sometimes it's the only place to go.

btw, the poll questions should include "stopped sharing files but still download (leech) from others.

As do I for the most part but some music I like can't be found in the US. I was looking for some Iraqi and Romanian music not long ago and could not find them in stores so I had to look them up on Kazaa.

I hardly ever download. If I do it's usually to see if I like a CD. "Sample before I buy." Yes I do that. That's it. I download about the same as before.

although i constantly yearn for dling songs.
