Poll: How good/bad is your vision?

Well, I am 20 and -7 l -6.75 right.
I started wearing glasses when I was 8 and it's all downhill from there.
My brother just started wearing glasses at 22, so I guess nearsightedness can hit later in life.

-7.00 , -7.25 I believe. I'm damn near blind. I can't see 6 inches in front of my face without my glasses.

I think your focal distance is 1m over your prescription.
So if you have -5 glasses, you can see 1m/5 =20 cm in front without glasses

I'm astigmatic, have strabismic amblyopia, and a cataract in one eye. Hoping to get most of this repaired, but right now my vision is as fvcked up as a concrete bicycle.

bobtist, what do you have to be embarassed about? Your vision is two times better than a normal person's.

Astigmatism started last year, as did some far sighteness too. Bifocals looming soon.

I have strabismus! I've had 5 surgeries. The last time, they had my eyes clamped open and they woke me up in the middle of surgery to read the vision charts.

I have the best opthamologist in the region, so if you are ever in my neck of the woods give me a holler.

Checked in at 20/10 three weeks ago. No near/far sightness. I can see great in the dark, but not too well on really bright sunny days without a good pair of shades.
