12 miles one way so 24 miles per day. I did the 70+ mile daily commute for about a year and a half and it sucked ass (bumper to bumper SoCal traffic). I put 25,000 miles on my truck the first year I owned it.

I made a vow that I would not do that again if at all possible.

I just have to do it for two years until I get my Associate's degree. Then I'm off to a 4-year university.

When I went back to school it was 120 miles a day for 18 months M-Th then the usual 80 on Friday. Now, I am back at 80 miles a day M-F. To be honest I am damn sick of it.

About 8 miles each way, usually I bike to work, takes about 30 mins. Good exercise too 🙂

I voted 50 miles, but that's just one way. 100 round trip.

I know it's not going to be fun. I'm a Mississippi resident, and the part that I live near (I live on the LA side of the border) is all Gov't restricted, so there's nothing around. Pearl River Comm. College is the closest school that offers anything math related, and it's 45 miles away.

I think it will be worth it though. They seem happy that I want to get my doctorate. I guess they don't get that much in the Mississippi wilderness.

130 miles is insane. Mine is a little over 130 inches.

Good luck to you though. The harder you work the more you'll appreciate it, or so it would seem.

 LOL

You've seen the test scores in this state. I believe your conclusion is right on the money. 😀

Hey, I grew up in one of the most rural counties in the state. Most of the people I grew up with have 3 or 4 kids and make meth for a living. 😉
