Hue - ston and I'm from Louisiana. I've never once heard anyone call it anything other than that.

It's hue-ston to me... Idon't know why the street is pronounced house-ton... I question my fiancee about that all the time... damn NY'kers. ;)

The actor, John Houston--I think his name was pronounced "House-ten." City should be "Hew-sten."

i live in NYC and the only HOW-ston is houston st. everything else to me is HUE-ston

His name was John Huston and it was pronounced Hue-stun or Hue-stin, to my knowledge. ;)

I pronounce the city as Hue-stin, generally.
