how about your music sucks, i wouldn't listen to it, let alone waste my time stealing "crappy" music.

polls should have sub options. for those that hate the RIAA. how many cd's do you own? or do you live on pure theft alone.

here comes the "I like pirating and the RIAA is evil for trying to stop me from rightfully stealing everything I can get my bandwidth on" crowd...
Idiot. :disgust: Having that position is no different than believing that only potheads want to see marijuana legalized. If you're not smart enough to know what the real debate is about, then kindly STFU.

There are only two choices in this poll , so the analogy isn't that far off base.
One could make a similar Pot= bad , Pot =Good sort of poll and it wouldn't be any more accurate than this one.
If there are going to be only two choices in this poll, I will abstain, because the "issue" isn't as black and white as this would lead one to believe.

<Abstaining until there are more choices.

I think the RIAA is a dinosaur organization that needs to wake up. They're relying on selling overpriced CDs in a bad economy for most of their profits and absolutely refusing to do a massive online distribution system. If they would sell singles at 99 cents each online and have a subscription service where you could download as many high quality mp3s of whoever you wanted for, say $15 per month, I think music piracy would drop dramatically.

Cliffs Notes-
I hate the RIAA.
They need to change their business model.
If they did, bye-bye music piracy.

I'm sure that poll will show that most people dislike riaa.. probably because they are trying to take away their free music. Personally I feel that RIAA is using cheap shots and sinking pretty low.. but on the other hand I often wonder what I would do in the same situation. You have miliions of people who can easily steal music and the numbers just keep growing higher.. how would I prevent this from happening. It hardly sounds like there would be any easy solution. What they are doing is at least getting their name heard out there, that if you steal music you can get in trouble.

Itunes, but they wont do that, because then no one will pay $18 for a CD with one good song on it. Hell they dont now... if they're smart.

I buy every quality cd from a band i like that comes out. If i hear some one hit wonder garbage thats catchy on MTV i download it on kazaa listen to it a few times and delete it.

i don't see how you can compare it to pot smoking at all. unless your for legalization of theft :) :p

that or stealing from pot farmers is ok!

smoking pot only harms yourself, esp if you grow it yourself, no bad people profiting etc. :p now if you only stole your own music, maybe ;)

Its either love or hate? No middle ground like, "RIAA's cause is just but they need to have reasonable limits like everything else"?

So much so that I have downloaded any music in months. Maybe it's a new tactic by the RIAA. Only produce sh!tty music and nobody will download it.
