How often and how do you guys clean out dust from your PC?

I take it outside and blow it out with an electric yard blower. MUCH powerful than canned air, cheaper and it doesn't damage anything since I don't have to touch anything.

Canned air rules. I use it for everything. I don't even take a shower anymore, i just blow the dirtyness off of me.

I use the vacuum, lucky so far....the upholstery brush works well for gettin down in the tight spots. I keep one hand on the metal tube, the other on a grounded surface, and
cross my fingers :D

Bah! Dusting is overated... I never dust, but that might explain why i have no airflow in my case and it's just one giant gray mess in there :D

Pledge (insert main american spray dust/polish can here)! nice and sparkly.... hehehe

bah bit excessive guys, just blow it away.... heatsinks and fans bit different though... just occured to me i think a pipe-cleaner would be just great.

Luckily in my house, it isn't too dusty. I usually end up dusting my PC every time i upgrade, which is usually once a year.

I use canned air during formal cleanings, and a tooth brush to clean my fans.

When I'm in my case and not doing a cleaning, I blow with my mouth. (Make sure you don't spit!)

So there you have it. Formally I blow with my can. Informally I blow with my mouth, but never spit.

Oh, and I never suck.

For me...dismantle the PC. Clean each components using a soft paint brush. It's lots of work...so only do it once a year.

Clean it once a year with a brushed vacuum adapter about 18" long and 3/4" diameter.

Use a vacuum cleaner....since installing fan filters the amount of dust has dramatically dropped anyway.

You shouldn't need to dust 'cept when upgrading.
Just think about the placement of your computer, and of all the inhaust fans.
Is there a carpet in your computer room? BAD
Is your computer resting on the carpet? WORSE
Is your carpet pink and fluffy, carebear style? ....[*i]

If you find your computer becoming dusty often, get some neat fan mesh filter
which you can remove and clean every once in a while, and apply to all fans that are
sucking the air into your computer.
