Actually, gah - this is why it's so hard to argue faith - free will cannot be proven, but there are data proofs that correspond emotions with brain chemistry - you can counter that with simply saying "god made it" but like you said, if god's mind is unreadable, how do you know if he made it or not?

Again, I agree that if such a being existed, I can't fully understand his intent - as a child to an adult - but even a child knows that it is simply impossible to contradict oneself and still be correct.

And with this, I agree 100% 🙂

Thank you Jehovah for respecting my opinion. I just happen to believe in both, I understand you don't. It's funny though, b/c my sunday school was actually the one who made it clear there could be both.

Honestly, either way, we're here doing what we're doing - whether it was "really" one way or another doesn't affect me one way or another (as long as I don't think about it 😉😉😉 ) and we'll probably never find out.

To answer the poll question, I am a creationist.

Now, on the topic of whether both creation and evolution can coexist, if you take the Bible literally (especially the wording of the original Hebrew phrases in the critical chapters of Genesis), then evolution did not happen. Other statements in the Bible confirm this (no death before sin, for example).

However, many today prefer to include theistic evolution in the picture by "changing" a few things (such as saying that "day" doesn't really mean "day"). This, of course, leads to the desire to change or ignore other things (such as the forbidding of homosexual acts) that don't line up with what people want to believe these days. By the time one gets done "liberally" interpreting the Bible to mean whatever one wants, one might as well not believe it at all and become an evolutionist.

Thank you. I will go to sleep tonight in peace. 🙂
