I liked the first movie, the rest were crap. I also loved watching the series with Duncan. I think I'm gonna have to go with Duncan though. Christopher Lambert's manner of speech bothers me for some reason. I don't know what it is about him.

Any comments on the movie that has both of them in it. I never saw it.

Lambert is getting on in the years so Duncan basically takes the stage as the big shot.

I have Highlander: Endgame on DVD (yes, I'm that big of a fan). I really liked the idea that they had Connor and Duncan in the movie. Connor has had more confirmed kills than Duncan.

Thats what I do......

I keep thinking by seeing the next one there will be something to tie all of the movies together.... finally.... but it just helps make the story fall apart even more....

<Monotone>There can be only one<Monotone>.... where the hell did they get planet Ziest from?

Friend of mine went to see Highlander 2 in the theater, I guess when the caption said planet Ziest on the screen someone in the front row said "Planet Ziest?? What the hell is planet Ziest??!!". He then got up and walked out of the theater. :)

I usually ignore comments like "the sequels ALWAYS fall short." I don't think that's necessarily true. Examples off the top of my head: The Color of Money, The Omen II. I like both of those movies better than the original.

In this case, though, it's dead on. Highlander II is the WORST sequel ever made. This second movie is horrible on its own right, but when you consider the way it drifted WAY off the original story - even flat-out contradicted it - someone should be SHOT. It was a cheap, stupid follow-up to one of the great movies of our generation.

I was overseas when Highlander 2 came out... I had to wait for the video... There's a video that had to be taken in little bits... I had to turn it off many times before I could finish...

I was a big fan of the first movie, but like most others will say the other movies were crappy, I did like the series a lot too, can't find it on tv anymore though. I guess I would have to say duncan though cause I'm big into martial arts and he's cool to watch.

Endgame was actually pretty good, if you're a fan of the series.
It wrapped up the franchise as best they could after all these years.
(what other movies?)

If you do decide to watch it, get the DVD (like my roomate did).
I originally saw it in the theatre, and they cleaned up the ending a
little better on the DVD. Plus the extras are almost worth the cost
of the DVD in themselves.
The only thing that would have really made it better would have been to
include the Watcher files on the disk, but that would have probably taken
another DVD to fill it right.

Spook, you rant about the movies, but you don't sound like you ever watched the
series. It took a few twists along the way, but overall it paid a lot more respect
to the ideas that were played with in the original movie than any of the sequels
even thought about. (The last seasons got a little carried away, but that was just
a sign that it was time to move on...)
