OK, ive been accepting banners for quite a while now, i guess i should have been more active in getting attention to this, but well, only 4 banners were submitted (if i missed yours, email me asap) the met the requirements. And the sad part is i think they were all submitted by the same person.

anyways, Crow has posted them on the federation front page

From my perspective - and I watched all 4 very closely - #4 is very subliminal, VERY powerful. I am impressed.

Back that up with a short, sweet to the point and EQUALLY POWERFUL recruitment page, and watch 'em sign up. Especially to be on the #1 team in the world.

But I had to use my old Navigator 4.07 to see them correctly. IE 5.5 spewed them all over the screen :frown: Likely a problem with my system. Anyone else have a problem with the page?

I voted for #4 because is the only good choice out of those given, because all the others refer to RC5, OGR, SETI, etc. which no one who reads the banner will understand. However, it would be nice to have a bigger selection of banners that fit these criteria. So this is sort of a vote for "more choices".

wasted my time on an add without a hint of it's direction.

I still like #4 best, but certainly agree that more choices should be provided. Particularly since we are going to spend at least $1K on this recruiting campaign.
I am quite disappointed that only four banners meeting the requirements were submitted. I'd like to see the ones that didn't make the grade to get more ideas to work with. I can make more banners, just need good, um.. I mean great ideas from you guys.
Just keep in mind that the hardest thing about this is trying to keep the file size as small as possible. Wonderful looking banners are easy to do when size is of no concern. I use Animation Shop from JASC Software and when saving the file it gives all sorts of options for optimizing the file. Problem is that it's easy to optimize down to something that looks like poop.
