WISH I had that one... actually, I'm tempted to exchange mine w/ Sears (it has a few minor issues) since I have the 2 year warranty and they replace it with whatever model they currently have that is most similar, IE the 717.

Definately go take it back. Its significantly better.

It can take a shot in 2seconds after you have powered it up. Very fast!

The usb2 would be great and the MANUAL focus ring!

Now just like an SLR.

Girlfriend hates digital cameras and loves her SLR. Its faster then my F100.......

I'd say the S230. If you think about it, a 3.2mp picture is larger, If you wanted to cut out the center 1280x1024 of it, you'd get more detail than a 1280x1024 center cut of a 2mp picture. I'm probably confusing the sh!t out of you but the idea is the 3.2mpixel with the 2x zoom will get you more detail than a 2mp with a 3x zoom.

I've got the little Olympus D-40 with 4mp and a 2.8x optical zoom. It's nice but there are times I wish I had a 10x optical zoom.

I voted for the Megapixels. The extra resolution will come in handy when you want to crop photos.
