Poll, Help me decide what to do to new pick up first

New 03' Ford F150 XL, standard cab, short bed, manual tranny, silver.

Yes, I know it's a base model, but that's what I wanted😀

I wanted a Porche Boxter, but it's hard to haul sod in one😀

Well if your like me, the first thing you do is rip out the factory stereo, the speakers and replace them.
I spend alot of time driving and I have to have some decent sound to listen to.
I voted for CD/MP3 but I mean the whole deal, head unit, speakers, and an amp if you get some nice component speakers.
You probably don't have room for a sub behind the front seats with a wife n' kids so that might not be an option...

I used to avoid Hondas because they were so popular, then I bought one, found out what I'd been missing.

Sort of applied that lesson to the pick up purchase.

I like Chevy's too, have a V8 Diesel G20 Van already...

bedliner...

diamond plate bed rails + diamond plate tool box. Forget about the tailgate protector unless you're doing alot of hauling.

First decide if you bought a truck or a fancy urban cowboy BS cruiser.

If it's a truck, go out a pick up a load of manure for the garden and get over this "new pickup" crap.

if you care about resale value, get a friggen bedliner, rhinocoat if you can.

I Rhino-lined a Ford Ranger once, never again, it's like ice when it's wet...

Will haul manure after the bedliner...

lmao....YEEHAAAW!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new truck. I've got an 02' Extended Cab XLT 🙂

If you want a functional upgrade I'd get the bedliner first.

The rims are kinda pointless on a base model, kinda like putting a dress on an ugly girl, she's still gonna be ugly. (not that the truck is ugly 😀)

Then I'd go for the cd player, especially if the stock stereo didn't have one.

Since most of what Ilisten to is AM radio, factory stereos are fine with me.

I would do the rims and tires, then some nice window tint. Billet grill, 2/4 drop, and you will be stylin. 🙂

No no no, if you put a dress on an ugly girl it makes her look fat, but you don't tell her that so as not to crush her hopes and dreams...

So, by that logic, if you put rims on a base model, it makes it look fat

I've had a couple of ext cab Rangers, thought I'd try a standard cab, plus the price was awesome...

Finally I can rent a concrete cutter😀

Man, for the world's best selling pickup, you-all sure hate Fords😀

This is my 5th Ford, had a 79' Pinto (yes, I know... it was the one that exploded if you got rear ended), 85' standard cab Ranger, 89' Ext Cab Ranger, & a 92' Ext Cab Ranger.

Never had a problem with them.

The V6 OHV engine sort of sucks, but I can't haul a concrete cutter or sod in a WRX...
