#1, if I had to choose.

Both are very template-monster like and in my opinion could be created very easily. There just is nothing "unique" in them that would make them worth $500 (to me.)

Honestly both suck - neither look professional. Looks like something that you might see on an XBOX community website.

Why do you need a designer? Can't you just buy a few templates and edit them with photoshop yourself? Then, just find a flash coder to do whatever flash thing you want.

Not a fan of templaty sites like those two.. and from what I see, both will involve a lot of nested tables and sliced images :p

But if I have to choose, #1 with less useless pics and and cleaner menu.

Normally you need a designer to create a unique site for you. Unforunately those are not unique sites, they are slightly modified templates.

For $500 a lot better can be done.

both look like cheap templates you could get on template monster.com.

im more of a fan of the simplistic layouts, but thats me (adobe/ibm sites)

but i feel 1 is better.

Quite a few people are telling you that both are bad, but you don't seem to be replying to saying anything. A good website is one that attracts the buyer, you need to value the buyers opinion to create the optimal site.

1 looks nicer, but I don't really like either.

I'm more of a function before form guy when it comes to web pages.

#1 looks nicer, but I personally hate websites like that. All looks and minimal content/useability.

3 and 4 are both better than 1 and 2. They still have a template like feel to them, but if I had to choose I'd say 3 would be the best, with #4 in second place.
