Considering I'm 5' 8 1/2" I round up. Esp. since with most shoes I end up being at least 5' 9".

I just go by the standard rule and round to nearest inch.

e.g.:
72.25"=6'0
72.6=6'1

Well if they are both 5' 8.5", then the guy would be 5' 9" and the girl would be 5' 8".
