I've been stung by bees many times as a kid.

I've never been stung by a yellow jacket or hornet? I could imagine that hurts like hell, cause they just keep going at it.

But when we were kids it was always a great day when we found a bee's nest. We were the exterminators of the block haha. One time we found a network of beehives on the trees in the street, so we got out this kids SuperSoaker 5000 or whatever. It was just like a cannon with 3 gallons of water hanging off of it. You had to pump it like 40 times but we killed those beehives in seconds, it was hilarious. Another time a bunch of bee's made a nest in a wooden birdhouse. It's was an eggshape thing with only one opening.. and one time we got a smoke bomb and stuck it in the hole. The bees were trapped and you could see the smoke coming out the small hole...haha that was a good kill.

Badly. When I was 17.

Mowing a friend's yard, got stung by a swarm of red wasps as I mowed over their nest (didn't see it in the high grass, the nest fell from the window eave).

Didn't know what happened at first because I felt like I was hit by a light bolt or something. Staggered back to the mower and got hit again, this time I felt it on my head. I reached up and pulled hand fulls of them out of my hair. Bastards stung me on my hands too. I am slightly allergic and I thought I was doomed. I got in my car and drove to my parent's house (2 miles away) and barely had enough time to tell mom what had happened before I passed out. I came to still in the house but lying on the floor. Our next door neighbor came running over to the house when she saw me collapse in the doorway.

She saved my life by mixing tobacco and baking soda together into little balls and putting them on every welt they could find. Drew the poisons out and lessened the swelling immensely. All I had was a headache when I woke up. (and a bruised knee where I had fallen on the porch.)

A few times. Worst one I remember is when I was a kid and was at my aunts house. My mom asked me to go get the mail, and apparently there was a wasp in there. Opened the door and it came out and stung me good.

I think I got stung a few times after that, each time slightly more swollen than the last. It sure sux. To this day I'm still cautious about opening mailboxes and nervous around the bzzing insects.

One time when I was cutting the grass there was a low hanging branch in the way so I pushed it out of the way with my arm... little did I know there was a wasp nest right where my arm was. Got like 11 stings in about a second, it was so fast I didn't even see them. It Hurt.

A bee when I was about 8 at a park. Right where the upper lip meets that bit between the two nostril holes. It really hurt, and got all puffy. Pretty much ruined that day. I don't think I have been stung since.

Bad s|-|!t, very painful, but it was'nt in such a bad place.

I went out side beare footed and walked on a dead bee and the needle bit went into the heel of my foot, ouch. i was only about 8 so that was pretty painful.
Soon after i got the treatment of the numbing cold spray stuff i had to squeese it out, that hurt too. I dont like bees, or wasps, or hornets. I only like the cool bumble bees

I was never stung by a hornet (if there the nast bright red giant things, i saw a few on holiday) but i have been biten, i was relaxing on a sun bench on holiday and my leg was gangling over the edge, my foot on the floor. Basically, for no reason, a hornet came up and bit my big toe. little Son of @ b!tc|-| :|

when i was about 13-14, we had a wasps nest in our loft, they used to come through a hole in the airing cupboard and hide in my t-shirts.

when we finally got rid of the nest a guy came and gassed them, then they were all crawling around the house "drunk" so we went around with a rolled up newspaper smushing them.

Nope, either that or I can't remember. We did have a wasp hive in one of the lawn trees.

Yes. I was doing a morning 8 mile run out into the boondocks and a bee no joke stung me in the package. Pain like I have never even imagined. I had to make my way back all six miles. It was horrible.

I'm not afraid if I can identify it as something that's not a bastard insect. I've cradled honeybees in my hands and not gotten stung so I used to think all of those yellow type insects were ok so long as you didn't bother them. WRONG! I remember walking thru my backyard and seeing this wasp there. Like a missile he beelines right after me. I figure I'm somewhere he don't like, so I back away clear outta the area. He keeps following me. I'm clear onto the sidewalk by now and I figure I'm ok...then like a flash a black thing flies in front of my face and nabs me on the eyebrow. I smacked that bug down onto the pavement. I went inside cuz my eye was swelling like a biznatch and it hurt like hell. My only consolation, I smeared that bastard bug from one side of my driveway...right across to the other. Had to goto the doc and he said it was a close call and I shouldn't harrass wasps.

Now, I'm very cautious. Spider's give me the willies because I got bitten by one once...I could SEE right into my flesh. Hurts like a bitch too.

almost came close to a wasp stinging me ... There was a nest on the baseket ball goal in my driveway and I used raid but didn't work so I used a broom stick to try to swat them (bad idea) one of them flew onto my face and I quick try to brush it off but it just stay there for a second, then it flew off ... I went into my house to check what happend and there was just a small red bump but the wasp still lived ... so I dunno what it did.
