Is it just me or is something lacking from these boards... Personality... stories... something is just... missing...

I think we jumped when JLG left. I mean it's been a long downward slide for a while but that kinda sealed the deal

A loooooong time ago...back in 2003 or 2004 IIRC. People talked about this when one of our lifers got banned (forget who exactly.) Also, after Skoorb stopped posting this place just wasn't the same.

ever see the arrested developement episode with henry winkler... where he physically jumps over a shark... so funny since he was the man that the term was coined for...

back in my day...

the demographics have changed. you can definatly tell when the older (age wise) crowd began to leave and the younguns came in. but this is still a damn entertaining forum to lurk in.

IMHO - You can't post your opinion anymore because

A. it's going to start a flame war or
B. some punk kid is going to tell you you're full of it
C. some jerk is going to point out it's a repost or they've heard it before
D. __ you fill in the blank with your favorite thread crap

I've been around a while, and post count is pretty low just because of that.

Well, the forums took a huge hit when Quasarsky (The Battosai) got banned. Since then, nobody really has a good time anymore. In fact, 40% of our members killed themselves that fateful day.

It has ups and downs... this is a down period... It'll get better when it gets bad enough for all the kiddie clingers to leave....
