Shouldn't Intel be an option in those? At least for laptops, Intel IGP is pretty common.

That was why I put the "Other" ... I know they are more popular in Laptopa... but was trying to be consistent also... they have them integrated in MOBO also.

primary: 4850
secondary: 7300gt fanless
tertiary: 6600gt with zalman vf 700
laptop: intel :(

secondary is being considered for htpc duty, if so I might throw 4850 into that one and see if gtx 260 have dropped below $200 by then

this might be understandable if you didn't include VIA...

You really needed Intel in this poll, not VIA.

Anyway...

8800 GTX - main
X1300 - secondary
7200 GS - fileserver
GMA 900 - notebook

Just took out the 7800GT and replaced it with an HD4870. First ATi card I've ever owned. :)

Well, I am not going to buy nv cards from now on, I've been following their methods for a very long time and it's horribly exploitative. Also with games, only Call of Juraz makes 100% pure use of DX 10 API using most of it's features- I congratulate the developers for reading through DX10 SDK documentation, all other dx10 games are commercially backed by nv using features that only nv cards are good at.

Does OP work for Via? I was wondering why he created this poll in the first place. What purpose does the info serve him?

I'm sorry that you see no value in A CPU, MoBo Chipset, And GPU Survey....

Were your last 28555 posts this valueless ?

Polls serve membership, the last time that I checked.

There are other Markets other than Ours.... The last time I checked our members are a very diverse group.

Wow I am surprised that ATI has a bigger market share here on the forums....or anywhere for that matter. I would have expected NVIDIA to dominate...

I figured that's what you would see given the recent popularity of the 48xx series. I had all nVidia until then and hadn't upgraded in over 2 years. Seeing the price/performance of the 4850 is what got to me. It's a great time to be a PC gamer!

He asks because it makes absolutely zero sense to include VIA and not intel...intel has a huge number of sales in the IGP realm for both desktop and laptop...VIA is an absolutely tiny blip on the radar in comparison to AMD/intel/nVidia

I'd be willing to bet that 99% voting for 'Other' are votes for intel. And VIA currently has a cumulative grand total of 1 vote...

Wow, thanks for the obtuse personal attack! Never saw one of those scary things before. Are you done? OK, great. Down to business.

Please allow me to help you survive on Internet Forums. When someone asks a very general question in response to one of your posts, it's good manners to explain the intent of your original post. Attacking that person (who had good intentions) not only pisses off that person, but also demonstrates to others that might be reading the thread that you're...how shall I say? Less than gracious. <---And that public opinion really just flushes away any good you may have done in said thread.

I'm sure you understand...you being all smart and all.
