Poll: got the Best Buy $99 GF3 Ti200, but am not big into games: keep it or go with another card and faster CPU?

Title pretty much sums up what i'm pondering right now. I saw and grabbed one of the Best Buy $99 GF3 Ti200 specials (couldn't pass it up for the price), and am wondering whether or not to keep it. I'm not a big gamer (i do like fragging every once in a while, but it's far from my main use for my system). So, here's my thinking, i have two potential courses of action:

(1) Keep the GF3, and be happy
(2) Sell it, use the proceeds to buy another card (say a Voodoo5, whose 2d i absolutely love, and has respectable gaming performance, or a Radeon AIW for greater flexibility for my system), and perhaps bump up my other system specs (say going to 512mb or upgrading my CPU speed a couple of notches), which would of course depend on the spread between what i would sell the Ti200 for, and what i'd spend on a different card.

Just for background, i'm building a new system to replace the Gateway 6400 i'm using now. So far, i've garnered an MSI KT266 Pro, 256mb Crucial pc-2100 DDR, and a T-bird 1.2 AXIA.

So here's your chance to help me build my system.

Just....more than enough for occasional gaming.......you would probably benifit more by spending that money on a better CPU (not that the one you have is shabby).

I just rebuilt a friends computer with the AIW Radeon, XP & 1.33mHz thunderbird. While the 2D quality and DVD decoding is excellent and the TV and video features are a nice extra, I was a somewhat disappointed with the 3d quality even using the new .3286 XP driver. I've been playing alot of Madden 2002 and NHL 2002 and the games become too bright and the gameplay doesn't feel as smooth. I don't have these problems with the regular GF3 in my current system, but then again I sometimes miss the 2D and DVD quality of the Radeon. Now I do have an unopened Radeon 8500 sitting here. Can't decide what to do with it.

I did pick up the GF3 Ti200 from BB earlier in the week and pricematched it today since I'm building another system for a friend who is more into gaming.

By the way, how was your Black Friday experience at BB today? I waited in the customer service line for an hour which wasn't to bad (got their around 7:15am). The guy behind me told me he was waiting outside since 5:30am to get in and the line was wrapped around the building.

If today doesn't help the economy, then nothing will. There were a lot of systems bought while I was in the local BB this morning and the check out lines were all the way to the back of the store. Even the local CompUSA was crowded.

I think they were Visiontek cards, but I'm not exactly sure.

what is the performance difference between a Voodoo5 5500 and the GF 3 Ti200 in 3D games? Does the 2D look *THAT* bad for the GF?
