POLL: Good feature for the next version of Windows?

Would that be a good feature? I've often wished it was possible. Lots of people have their computers in their room and could use it as an alarm clock if they leave their PC on all night anyway. It would also be useful when I want to remember to do something at a certain time.

You could make it play an annoying beeping sound, or any music file on the computer.

Think that's something you'd like to see in the next version of Windows? Or as a PowerToy ad-on?

You can make an alarm clock using the "Scheduled Tasks" but its not intuitive. Also you could make one with nothing more then notepad if you were so inclines (vbscipt Jscript ect).

There are a number of free programs out there to do just that. Cool Timer is what I use. You could also right one yourself in Java, do a search through some Java code sites. Its not that complex.

The price of buying a cheap alarm clock would be a lot cheaper than leaving your pc on all night.

Just buy one of those alarm clock that use a double A battery in them.
