This question is basically for those who were kids durring the 80s when GI Joes and Transformers were huge. Which toys did you prefer? and which cartoon did you prefer to watch? Which do you think was better? And i'm only letting you choose one or neither!
 
how can you make me choose!

its like asking someone which of their testicles they want to have removed (okay maybe not THAT drastic, but still)
 
well.. if I put "both" then everyone would just flock to that choice. It a cop out answer!

Remember.. GI Joe toys had the sweet elbow joints that could move in every direction. Not like the star wars action figures that didn't even have knees or elbows.
 
GI Joe. Although Transformers were great as well. I don't know if they will ever have toys as good as those. Oh my, we sound like old men. "Back in my day they made toys out of metal...."

My first Snake Eyes had elbows that could only be moved up and down. I had a couple others like that too. I think one was the guy who drove the first tank. That's how old some of my Joes are.

They also had that fragile piece of plastic crotch that snapped off all the time...
 
YO JOE!

Transformers are fun, but when you grew up, your car never changed into one of them. At least, with G.I. Joe, you could grow up to shoot those guns and join the military.

Lets just hope your thumb doesn't break from the kung-fu grip, your rubberband doesn't snap while training and the crotch piece doesn't break off, leaving you exposed 🙂

I had 'em both, but anyone remember the Go Bots? Total transformer rip, but cheaper and smaller (kids are always on a budget ya know).

Transformers! GI JOE was OK, but Transformers is the best cartoon ever. IMHO I still have about 20-30 toys in the attic, but they are beat up pretty bad.
 
Both are awesome. He'ff fight for freedom where ever there's trouble, GI JOE is there! Transformers robots in disguise! I liked transformers a little better though.
