Geezus, $355 for a friggin video card. This forum is called Hot Deals, not Hot Deals for Millionaires.
 
Geforce3 (nv20) is coming next week so just wait. But I don't know if retailers will have them in stock next week.
 
Yeah, I'd wait about 1-2 weeks until the Geforce 3 cards are out. Then you'll see the geforce 2's drop in price.
 
The word from the Nvidia rep. recruiting here on campus was the "official" release date is slated for 27 February.

Someone here at work came across a product page at compusa's site which has a geforce 3 card listed for a lot of dough; around $399, perhaps higher...I don't remember, but it scared the hell out of me.
 
actually, I heard the Geforce 3 will be either $499 or $599....🙁

Untamo sells the creative ultra for $340 I think in the FS/FT forum....
 
I think the $599 price is for the hercules GF3 with all the bells and whistles. I'm sure another company will have some for under $500.
 
yeah jagr10 is right ive been hearing the same price as him, u realize that i could buy 3 1.2ghz TB's with that much $$$!!!!!!
 
It'll be released on 2/27 but the question is will it be in abundance in stores on that date?
If the product doesn't ship, then GTS's will not drop in price.
I was going to buy untamo's GTS for $150 but I read that NV20 is coming out soon so I'll wait a bit. $150 is too high, I'll probably buy when it comes down to $100, hopefully right after 2/27's release date.
 
i heard the $499 nv20 comes with a small output for your microwave and regirator..

while the $599 nv20 comes with a little robot that cleans the inside of your computer..

i recommend the $599 nv20... =]
 
At this rate I can see it now, Geforce 9 msrp of $2999......



They need to ramp up production on these and cut prices bigtime....
 
Well, when the NV20 comes out, the price of everything will drop one notch in a couple months. GTS2 32 megs will probably be $100 (price of 256 DDR), 256 DDR's will be $80, etc. Keep in mind this is purely my predictions of prices I expect to see on FS/T
 
Haven't you noticed that the initial price of all of their new cards keep rising? The Geforce ddr was like $299, the GTS was like $349, the ultra was $499, and now the Geforce 3 is $599....yikes??!!
