My vote for 1280x960 for the most part, but I'll drop down to 1024x768 to preserve framerates (more now that I'm using my AIW radeon vs my VIVO SE), some games I use 800x600 as well (offroad, by Rage software is one I have to turn down, great offroad racer)
 
I normally run in 1152x864 in 32 bit since most my games are adventure/RPG type games .

1024 X 768 @ 32bits for most everything, though some rts games I need it down to 800 X 600 so I can get a better view of what is going on.
 
It depends on the game... naturally I will go as high as I can without destroying fluidity

I run as high as possible in every game.

For the old games I use 1600 x 1200 x 32 with full anisotropic filtering.
For the heaviest games I use 1152 x 864 x 32 with no anisotropic filtering.

And at all times I use trilienar filtering and maximum game settings (eg max texture resolution, detail textures, full coronas, etc).
 
i play in 800x600 4x antialasing. why? because its easier to see stuff on the screen..

like the radar in cs is hard to be noticed in 1024x + higher on my 19"

but ya it doesnt look as good.
 
i run everything in 1024*768, since I only have a philips 107E 17" screen. But since I have a radeon8500 I run everything on max detail.

and btw BFG10K, how can you run anything at 1600*1200 with your philips 107S. The refresh rates must be awful. Or did you get a new screen?
 
Well to be honest, I voted 1600x1200 32bit with all goodies on for my 3D games.

However, the majority of the time I play StarCraft. It's only 640x480 256 color. I'll assume that you're referring to 3D titles 😉
 
1024x768 w/all the candy here.

Could go higher, but I find that I am happy with this resoloutions speed and PQ on my machine.
 
1024x768x32, or if my poor GF2MX can't handle it then, 1024x768x16.
Most the time I can run games fine at 1024x768x32 though.

1024*768*16 with the details somehwre between low and medium, as I only have a TNT2, but I find lower resolutions hidious on my 19" moniter

Yeah very recently I got a 19" Sony CPD-G420 which can do 1600 x 1200 x 85 Hz.

I'm a little slow to update my profile sometimes.
 
Well, the first thing I do is read the latest poll from EMAN to determine what FPS I should play at 🙂. Then I turn up the details and raise the resolution until I'm at 60fps in a single player timedemo average. Then I go over to the other poll and vote that it's a slideshow.
