My lease is up this November on my Maxima. I was able to sit inside of a 300C and I fell in love with it. Beautiful spacious interior, decent dash material, very comfortable back seat.

This car is making my decision much more difficult than expected.

Help me decide.

Depends on if you want smaller and sportier over larger, more luxurious, and uhh, less sporty :)

size really doesn't matter to me. performance and ride quality does, and from all of the reviews that i have read, the 300C is no slouch when taking a corner.

both cars have RWD, which is a must for me on a new car i purchase.

G35 is sweet, but that interior is not so sweet.

The interior of the 300c isn't that great either. I've heard that Chrysley is having alot of problems wiht the first year 300Cs - I wouldn't buy a first year chrysler.

Regardless of what Chrysler promises, I would get the G35 just because it has been proven for a bit. The 300CC is nice but :

NEW MODEL + CHRYSLER = Good luck

If you wait a while for them to get the kinks out, you will be able to make a better overall compasrison.

For now get the G35

A used 2000-2002 Audi S4. Luxury and performance in 1 package.

If not, then the G35 I guess.

Dood, even the freggin Chrysler would be more reliable than that junker - he said he wanted a car, not an electrical grimlin with faulty coil packs and mysterious engine fires.

I don't think they have been available long enough to have problems yet. I think we just got our first shipment of 300Cs last week. The engines in them have been around for awhile, the trans has been around for awhile(5speed is a mercedes), and a lot of the frame and suspension is mercedes or based on mercedes.

Anway these cars are in totally different classes and on this forum you have to throw out alteast 50% of the votes for the g35 just because its an import. This forum is highly anti-domestic and if you asked which to buy between a Yugo and a 300c the Yugo would win here.

I voted for the G35 because... well, its a friggin skyline! But none of these cars are available here, so I had no chance to check them. I wouldn't really trust on the Chrysler tho because under the hood its in parts a Mercedes. Customers are not quite sastified with them here.

Even if you threw out 50% of the votes, the G35 would still own the 300C.

There is a reason we're import whores. Because we're educated.

Anyway, these cars are in kind of different classes. I have driven neither, so you'd need to drive both. I'd probably end up buying the G35 based on what I know, although the 300C is damn sweet. It's got a ton of power, looks _awesome_ (mrsskoorb says it looks like a brick, which is why I like it!), and isn't too expensive. Its gas mileage isn't half bad either. It will undoubtedly have poorer resale and worse dependability, and buying the first year of any car is often a questionable decision.

G35 is cheaper, but also lighter. You can't get a manual in the 300C if that's any concern to you.

g35 is one of the ugliest cars on the planet. Go for the 300c.

BTW, I'm one of the anti-import guys here. Give me a domestic anyday. And I certainly wouldn't call myself uneducated. I've had far better experiences with domestics than imports.

But, to call yourself ANTI-IMPORT is just plain ignorant - you're generalizing and your extreme bias shows through. While I tend to favor imports over domestics, there are definitily certain areas where Domestics shine. I'm all for opinions, but when they're faulted, like yours is, that's when I have a problem.

Dodge/Chrysler IMO are making some of the best looking cars on the road of all the major manufacturers now. Crossfire, 300c, durango (not too bad), magnum. These are all so much cooler than most of what anybody else has to offer.

rbloedow: fair enough. I'll take back the "anti-import" part and call myself "pro-domestic." Is that better? :) I mean, it's not like I'd flat-out refuse a Honda or a Nissan if it was given to me, I just trust my experiences with domestics more. My friend's CRV is very nice and I was very impressed with it, but I like my Saturn more :p

Are you going to become a chrysler fanboy now Skoorbie?
